Greetings from Western Illinois. My first post. I have a 2022 L3560 HST tractor. I am on my second incident of bugs in my fuel line/fuel tank.
Used air compressor to blow out bugs from the water separator filter and fuel line to tank and heard something land in the tank. After that I was able to get fuel flowing and tractor started.
I know this is a temp fix and will need to pull the tank and clean, as well as blow out fuel lines again. I am hypothesizing they are getting in through the fuel vent tube which is a bear to get to (behind dashboard and in front of heat shield.
I have been diligent on straining fuel and ensuring gas lid is on tight. Any other thoughts on how they are getting into fuel system? Any one put a screen or hose end filter on their fuel tank tube vent to keep bugs out? I saw Kubota makes a fuel tank strainer for BX model but didn’t see one for L series. Anyone have a lead on that?
Thanks, IlliniTB no
