I'll offer a bit of criticism on the hook, but it's not the way the 2x2 tube is (not) attached to the bucket (although that is dangerous as well IMHO), it's the way the hook is welded to the 2x2 tube-just welding on the ring end of the hook is not strong and all, and with the leverage that could be imposed because it's sticking up like that you'll likely rip it off with your sized tractor. At least get a proper weld-on hook to use for safety reasons.
I agree with Kenny across the board - the hook is only as strong as how it is attached - and WHAT it is attached to. One problem with welding to the bucket, is that the force is applied to that one spot, where a bolted on plate spreads the load across a much larger surface area. Also the longer the contact area is the stronger the weld can be too.:)
