New to me L2950 with la450 fel. What are the holes on top of the bucket for, inner ones are threaded. I want to weld on chain hooks and I don't want to interfere with something I don't know about.

In the second photo, front below the grill, there is a bar with two threaded levers. Could someone tell me what this is for?

The 2 bars across the top of your dash are for removing the loader. They stick in the slots on the outside of the bucket. The bolts in pic two are removed and stick thru the bars, bucket and thread into the lugs on the back of the bucket you asked about. Remove the 2 pins on the loader arms at your sub-frame and when you roll back on the bucket they will come out of the sub-frame. If it's never been taken off it may be stuck and take a little work. On the left inside of your loader arms should be 2 legs made out of square stock. They go in the bottom of your loader arms to support the rear when not in use. The hitch pins from the cross bars over the dash are used to secure the rear legs during this step.

As far as hook go I made plates and bolted them to my bucket. I have 1 on each side and a double in the center.
If it's still offered they also make a Kubota style quick attach for that loader which is very handy. Pull 2 pins and set the bucket off. No moving parts to wear or break and was only like $300 from my dealer.

Bulldog, thanks for the explanation, now I understand. Nephew of the late uncle/owner of the L2950 mentioned the bars over the dash as supports when the fel is removed but it was pouring rain when I bought the tractor. So there weren't any lengthy explanations of the tractor. I normally don't remove the fel but looks like I'll be replacing fel bushings at some point-so maybe I will have to take it off. Good info to know!
