Bucket not tilting back enough for practical use?

When loading gravel, snow, dirt...I find the bucket does not tilt back enough IMO to grab the load.

For example, I use a Volvo L90 Loader at work that tilts back waaaay further so when you dig in a pile, you can almost get the bucket level after making a scoop. This makes it much easier to pick up a full bucket when going into a pile.

I find my Kubota it never picks up anything because the bucket does not tilt back enough.

I've got a B2620 with SSQA. I was thinking of either welding extensions to my bucket so that its kicked back more when in the position below...or modifying my SSQA so that the bucket can kick out more?

See attached for how far mine is back in its low position. Anyone else find this a problem?

But you have to watch what happens at full up, with the same curl cylinder position. You don't want it dumping over the back of that now full bucket, onto your hood.

You could easily fix it by pulling out the bottom of the SSQA plate on the bucket.
I would avoid altering the loader even slightly.

Now the negatives:
Like BCP stated doing that will make it very easy to dump material on the hood or on the head, it not a Volvo that has self leveling built into the linkage.
Your next issue is you will be changing the geometry and might end up not getting any dig depth.
Your other very possible issue is you will end up getting to much material in the bucket and either won't be to heavy to lift or will make the tractor very unstable. ;)

What is the number and width of the bucket, it's a different color than the loader???

Hi Guys. Bucket is the original one that came with the B2620, 5' Kubota bucket. Color is different only because after welding the SSQA to the tractor I repainted the bucket...but it was kubota spray paint. But the colors not a perfect match as you can see :)

Yes, I'm aware of the dumping material on your head. This is already possible IMO if your not careful...and lifting that high with a full load is not good material handling practice either IMO.

The volvo is self leveling linkage, yes...but I've got automatic leveling via the control stick and my brain lol :)

I think the L series kubtoa's have self leveling bucket??? Or does the B cab series tractors already have that?

AWWW, now I think I know whats wrong.
The SSQA on the loader is not stock...right?
If that's the case give me some more pics of the SSQA and the way it's mounted.
If it's not a factory SSQA it's very likely that the pin locations are wrong for the loader arms and cylinders.

B26 TLB has optional bucket leveling system. Could probably be adopted for use on B tractors if not direct fit.
