I don't know about the model you have listed from Amazon, I can tell you I have Ken's Bolt on Hooks and they work great! A can of spray paint and they matched my tractor.

Go for Ken's hooks instead. Thousands of satisfied customers and I am one of them. Won't fail you and won't rust out like other brands.

But they will rattle.

SDT
No noticeable rattle on my setup @SDT, at least not from my clevis mounts. Anything attached to the ROPS however, is a different story.

I have been really hard on the un-reinforced top lip of my NH 3930's bucket. I'm about to trade the tractor, bucket and all for an M7060. Should I have the dealer reinforce the new bucket with square tube before installing chain hooks or an inside the bucket clevis attach point? Some advice from the more experienced would be very much appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time.

Based on the looks of your current machine, I'm definitely not more experienced but I'll give it a go. I'm not familiar with the bucket options for the M7060 but I would ask if they have a heavy duty bucket you can look at to compare to your existing bucket. That having been said, reinforcement is never a bad idea, especially when you know you will be pushing it to its limits.

My bucket was reinforced with a 1/2” plate steel welded onto the top, just abutting the lip. Previous owner tried to hurt it (thought a tractor was a dozer) but it is undamaged.
You’ll have to ZOOM in to see the detail but here’s an abbreviated view of how it was done.... and I simply welded hooks onto the 1/2” plate. (Local Kubota dealer has the hooks on the parts counter for $3)

GeoHorn, this picture was taken a number of years ago at one of our fly-ins. The little "bug smasher" behind the yellow bird (N431SS) and in front of the house was my L-16 and its tow vehicle was my first Kubota tractor. I think it shouldn't be hard to see why I said that your C170 would like it here.

Feel free to drop in anytime. We'd love to have you visit.

Thanks for the feedback, Guys. More than which hooks to use, I am more concerned about whether or not to have the buck's top lip reinforced. I would have to hire it done because as a welder, I would better be described as a dauber. :)

I have seen and heard different things about hooks some say welding is the way to go others reinforce the lip and bot some say put hooks up high others low some in the middle of the bucket so if the chain rope or strap snaps it will hit the bucket and not come over top and hit you,, So I really dont know what to think or where to stick a hook

I am very pleased with mine being attached to the bucket corners with grade 8 bolts and 3 links of grade 70 chain. The chain allows some pivoting action.
