I hope this is the correct location for this post; if not, mods, please relocate it.

I bought what I thought was a set of bucket hooks from my dealer through the Orange Aftermarket store. It's only one hook combo for $125, and it doesn't look like mounting it on this bucket is easy with the extra metal plate.

What and how are folks mounting bucket hooks to the L2236 bucket? I'm looking at Ken's bolt-on hooks.

Since you ordered them through the dealer, why not have them install them for you. I just looked at their website and for the MX tractor they are only showing one hook and there is no extra metal plate that I could see. Instructions are in the link below. Is it possible you ordered the wrong item?

Welcome to the forum!
I looked at the link posted- that's a chincy design. I wouldn't trust it with a load that an MX would be capable of lifting. I suggest that you look at what Kenny offers.

Buy Ken’s hooks. Weld them to the top of bucket on that flat plate. Done.

I have Ken's Bolt on Hooks on my bucket. Easy to install and have lasted. I'm guessing it is going on three or four years now with them on the bucket and no issues.

I did the bolt on because I'm not a welder, but they have taken everything I have thrown at them.

Good call on bolt on style if your not comfortable welding. I’ve seen so many buckets with janky looking welded hooks. Personally I’d weld the hooks or d-rings to a piece of plate steel cut to fit your bucket top then weld the backer plates to the bucket spreading the weight and tension out a bit. Just what I’d do (I’m kinda rough on my stuff) One in the centre or on each side. I like having hooks on the outside and a D-ring in the centre.

Side note
Distribute the weight or pull across the bucket. Do t try and pull trees or lift heavy loads from only one side of the bucket unless you absolutely have to I guess. Nothing worse then a twisted or uneven FEL.

I always hook to both side hooks , then hook the chain in the center so the chain hangs in the center and equally distributes the weight for lifting.
