This feller went stomping across the front lawn (now all clover, for some reason 🤔) checking on the various does—I swear I could hear him take each step.

He’ll be ok so long as he doesn’t do it in daylight, like this guy, last year.

Upstairs window screen comes out during the rut 😁

We have a bunch around here every night. But this guy came up and layed down watching us clean gutters. Too funny.

I take the Huey out each morning with a flashlight so I can see him (he’s black) as soon as I get up…yesterday while Huey is dropping a duece I hear grunting and coming at him from across the road is this little guy…had a small fork horn rack. That thing stood there grunting thinking Huey was some sort of exotic beauty…not sure it had been eating some fermented crab apples and had goggles on or what. That was a new one for me…

I’m not trying to bring ‘em in when I’m whizzing out the blind window, but for some reason, it just happens. Better out than in, I reckon.

Yep…during season before I head to the stand I drink a couple cups of coffee. I relieve myself from up in stand. Countless times I have seen deer come up and sample the juice…no kidding…for what it is worth Black Rifle Coffee (just black). For some reason they sample that.

I take laundry detergent jugs to blind with me for that purpose and make every attempt to wait when there isn't one handy.

@Oleracer picture is amazing. Never saw a buck that tame, especially this time of year.

We went to Old Forge, New York for a couple days early August this year.

Old Forge is a small village in the southern Adirondack Mountains of New York.

Deer were very tame and we saw them around everywhere. Been there and other parts of the Adirondacks for years. Never saw them like that before.

I wish I was a hunter. Every morning when I take the Dingo out, there are always deer bedded down outside. Sometimes I think they find our place a safe haven. Momma and her babies like the clover we planted in the yard.
