Welcome aboard - and your KUbota will handle a 5 footer easy and possibly a 6 footer DEPENDING on speed and how high and what type of grass you are cutting.

I would recommend the 5' mower however.

Check out the link below. I would keep it to 5' or less for your L2500. I have a 5' Landpride mower on my L3901 and it can put quite a load on the tractor if what you are cutting is thick and you have any hills to deal with.

The L2500 vs the L2501 are a we bit different machines -

One is 20+ years old, the other 2+ years old

One has 27 HP and 22.5 PTO HP while the 01 has 24 HP and 20 PTO HP

But I will agree - the 5 footer is the better choice.
