My seatbelt will not click together and stay locked. It's no longer under warranty. Do you think the dealer will cover a safety issue like this? I bought the tractor used and don't have a "relationship" or point of contact at the nearest dealer.

It being a safety issue they should. We had a 2008 Chevy at work and the same thing happened. Went to the local dealer planning on buying a new piece and the dealer gave it to us. Said it was safety and GM would cover it. They did not sell the truck new because we buy them on fleet contract.

The seat belt retract ratchet mechanism began acting up on my 2003 B7500 after 5 to 6 years. My dealer did NOT replace the seatbelt for free. I bought and installed a K2561-56850 Assy Belt, Seat 2" for $101.10 in 2011, and installed myself. I do not know for what models this belt is specified. The replacement belt is beginning to fail in the same manner.

Looks like you have to buy both parts. The new part number is K3181-56882, and the price is around $79.
