Broken axle on Burkeen trencher, are they still in business?

I loaned my Bobcat Melroe T116 trencher out and got a call saying it wouldn't drive, found a broken axle shaft. These are the same as, or were taken over by Burkeen, B-16 model, have tried burkeen.com but can't get the site up. Can someone try it from the US or let me know if they are still in business?

Melroe was before Bobcat. They became one in early '80's I think.

My skid steer is a Bobcat 825, but actually the label is Melroe.

That's just a construction business listing page, has same info as I have, but I searched for the web address and got nowhere so I expect they are now defunct. It does however have an email address I can try, but if the web address doesn't come up I expect the email will not, but I'll give it a go. The other listing only has ground engagement chains/teeth.

Have you pulled the axle to see how bad it is? I wonder, if all else fails, if it be be either fixed, or another axle adapted to work.

I haven't pulled the axle as yet, as unit is sitting at friends paddock disabled, from the limited/poor parts diagram I have on it, it "appears" the entire diff and/or tranny needs to be removed and split with axle coming out internally. I haven't received a response from email to burkeen as yet (doubt there will be). It's possible to repair this axle, but not a small job from what I can see and I'd like to get some better drawings and some parts availability before I start so I know where I'm going with it.
