I got a new toy to play in the snow with, Come on snow!
50" snow blower with wings for 60" coverage for $950
It's in really good condition and runs extremely quiet. My 36" snow blower on my simplicity sounds like a jet engine right before a crash!
We get about a foot to 2 foot every time it storms and it does that a whole lot, I've seen as much as 6' in three days.
I clean 1/4 mile of driveway and 1/4 of private road and 8 other driveways and yards off that road so that makes a snow blower worth it's weight in gold for me.
I'm going to be setting up a plow on the FEL also just for the light stuff and slush.
I need to add the Electric chute rotator tomorrow and later on I'll add an electric chute deflector adjustment too. Also am going to add rubber blades to the impeller too.
I'm also toying with adding duals to the rear of the tractor too??? Not sure on that yet.
I have cleated chains for all the tires so I don't think I'll have a traction problem, But I would be happy with a little more traction and a little more bottom weigh.
Part of our driveway is at a 10% grade so it gets a little tricky getting to the house when it get snowy and icy. Next year the driveways getting moved and will only be at 4% max, so that will help a lot.
