I had the dog out early this morning , was thinking I may have to mow one more time so I checked the weather looks like up to 40mm of rain coming today. Sure payed off putting the blower on early.

Well I need a snow blower way down south in Alabama. I know, I know. We got 8+ inches here and there ain't a loaf of bread or gallon of milk nowhere here.

You guys that live this every year, you would be laughing your butts off!

I did get to scrape my driveway off using the bucket :D
I have a buddy that says we have 2 seasons - Winter and the 4th of July!:D

I've heard that snow is a good alligator repellant...haven't seen one yet, but I keep looking.....:p;):p

Have my new tractor with a front blower and in no hurry to try it out. After blowing snow for thirty years it's not a thing to get excited about. So far only a couple of dusting of snow in Ottawa and perfectly happy with that.

Had blower and chains on for a while. I ran the tractor for a bit to get it warmed up. Buzzed around the yard couple times and re-checked work lights.
Guess I am ready, but do not want to be, if you know what I am saying....

Oof! Waterford is typically the hardest hit in this area in terms of snowfall. Good luck!

jmf...before moving over here to Waterford, we had a house in Franklin Township, just north of you. I always said it was the buckle of the snow belt. It never stopped snowing there...ever.

Yeah, that whole band tends to get hit bad. Thanks Lake Erie!

We'll end up with 6 or 7 inches here in Mass by the end of the day today.
And I have not yet put the blower on. Need the forks to move one more thing this week before taking the FEL off. So will see how the bucket does withthe evil white crud on by driveway this morning.

most people down here in the states dont realize the land mass up there.

Yes, I am now ready, just got the B2650HST with B2782 blower Friday, first year with a cab.
Traded my BX2370 with blower, no cab worked great, just wanted to get out of the weather when blowing snow it never fails what every way I point the shute the wind will change and I end up with a face full.

We are getting a few more inches of lake a effect now and most of next week here in north west Michigan snow belt area.

The lake effect has been brutal this winter so far. I won't quit snowing here. Had to go haul snow with the dump truck in the city already.
I've been playing with both my toys, the B2620 and I took the Polaris 500 out of plowing retirement just to play with.

That's a sweet tractor JWool!

For those of you who wonder what sustained Lake Effect snow is like, you should have tuned into the Bills/Colts game today from Buffalo. Best way to describe the phenomenon is "unreal."

Here in west Michigan we get our Lake effect from Lake Michigan. One minute the suns out and 10 minutes later it's snowing like crazy. Beats the heck out of hurricanes and fires though!

I have the best of everything. A BX with a front blower and cab. Lots of snow. And, being newly retired, plenty of time to clean things up. Don't have to rush around to get it down before or after work. Actually the best part is after driving tractor trailers for 46 years I don't have to drive in the crud any more. :)
