Doesn't look like much but I'd estimate the water would have to be 15-20' higher for it to be in this far. Thats Malpeque bay and its right off the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Pics of some bridges under water popping up. Pretty much all of PEI has no power. Our generator kicked in but mom and dad's didn't so when things settle I'll take a drive out.

Where I am in western NB, it's just what I'd call "a bad storm". We have some power outages, moderately high winds, and a little rain (52k w/o power), but my friends in SE. NB, PEI, NS and NFLD are not fairing nearly as well.

About 400k in NS alone without power. (that's nearly HALF the entire population of the whole province!!!)

Lotsa trees down and stuff blown over in S NS, PEI and houses washing into ocean in W. NF.

It's pretty bad for those fellas....many who probably don't even have power or internet to report what's going on.

Saying a prayer for you guys/gals

Still on generator but it sure isn't easy to find gas, the few stations that are open are empty. It's been a while since I've seen this many trees down, back yard has way too many trees down to count. They say that we may get power back Wednesday but we'll see. The good news is that we kept our Starlink when we moved and got hooked up today so internet and TV are back. Main thing is no one hurt here in the hood.

Glad you faired out safely @bearbait. My friend has gone through 2 tanker loads of fuel since Saturday. Some stations have people directing traffic. Put 7 hours on the LX3310 at mom and dad's moving branches and logs. Heading to my stepson's tomorrow and a friends to clear their yards.

Most machine owners enjoy seat time but what you guys are doing is helping family, neighbors, friends and anyone in need solve problem that they can't find folks to do, or maybe can't afford to get done. You are showing people there is an element in society that truly cares about their fellow man! It's got to give them all a ray of hope. Fantastic, going above and beyond.

Looks like our friends to the south are gonna be in for a rough ride also, that time of year I guess. Be safe all.
