Last weekend I bought a new MX5800 HST 4x4 and just wanted to say hi as I am new to the Kubota community and this forum. I am really excited to be getting this tractor. My entire life we have worked with older farm equipment and I am excited to be getting something brand new! Heck, even having power steering is an upgrade for me without even considering 4x4, front end loader, hydrostatic, etc.

The tractor will be delivered this coming up Friday and I can hardly wait! I ended up getting:

MX5800 HST with Filled AG Tires
1 Set of Remotes (for haybine...may add more in future)
Land Pride RCF2072 Cutter
Land Pride SSQA Quick Attach Pallet Forks

The dealer is welding on chain hooks to the bucket free of charge and also gave me everything I needed for the 50 hour service free of charge.

The one picture is of the tractor I am replacing. Actually, I am keeping it and having 2 tractors as it is a very reliable, tough machine. It is a 1960 International B-275 Diesel. Has lots of power and many options for the age (Diesel, Diff Lock, 3 point, Live PTO, Live Hydraulics, No P/S!)

When the tractor gets delivered I will upload some pics. Just wanted to say hey as I am in the process of reading all the manuals for the tractor and getting into Kubota mode!

Congratulations on your new tractor, the MX in all its variations is a really good machine at a reasonable price. We usually keep our old tractors too, my brother uses a 62 Ford 601 about as much as anything else.

Congrats. I took delivery of a new MX5800 last week and love it. It is really a strong tractor. I also was replacing a 60 yr old tractor and kept the old one.

I got a new MX5800 a few weeks ago and LOVE it!!!

I shopped long and hard and decided on the MX58 and it was the best decision I've ever made.

I'll join the list of people who have decided on the MX5800. After having my little BX (and an old Kubota and a Yanmar), I really like the capabilities of the MX. I got the BH92 on the back and have been digging out stumps with it. I would really like to have a ripper for the BH for the root cutting. My 24" bucket is a tad limited in power when digging up a two-foot chunk.

Shure is purdy, idn't it?

I really enjoy working with mine, but I didn't land on a mower yet.

I notice that you didn't have a draft control lever. Do you just raise and lower the 3PH with the lever behind that slot?

In that picture the 3PH lever is the tall lever on the far left near the fender. I didn't get draft control (optional) but they come with position control for the 3PH standard. Maybe that's why ours is different? The small lever towards the rear of the tractor is for a hydraulic remote.
