A real grapple weighs twice as much or more and seriously offsets lifting capacity as well.
"seriously"..... kinda depends....
My L48 TLB has a lifting capacity of 2,540 lbs.
My 60" grapple weighs 500 lbs.
The loss of 300 lbs of grapple lift capacity is not a serious loss of capacity for me, and a full width single lid grapple, with long bottom teeth, IS certainly very handy for cleaning up logs and brush!

well, it means you couldn't have moved the 3 logs I had laying about here.....:(
They computed to be about 2400# each.... BX23S could push them though :)

Having a grapple of any sort, is something you will never regret. I prefer a stand alone grapple, bout I use mine more than any other implement I have. I spend may days clearing brush and limbs. I have an older BX (2014) so although it’s not SQQA, I got the early Kubota Quick connect front, so I can swap from bucket to grapple in literally one minute. Very convenient.
