Something that didn't need too much thinking today. I had bought the bits for a bit-on tooth bar a few months ago, and have moved the box of bits out of the way several times since.

I finally made the tooth bar today.

Hahahah….JK………..That looks great my man!!!!

I would be willing to bet that you notice a significant diffference in digging.

I was amazed at how much better mine was. It was/is a noticeable difference.

Although I doubt that my “mini tractor” has enough "Ooooppphhhh"to actually break those teeth, it’s nice to know that I could replace them if necessary.'

Absolutely. Yeah, I don't think I'll break mine either.

It looked like we've even used the same brand "ITR" teeth. I bought mine from a small earthmoving supply company about 10 minutes from home.

Nice fabrication...as usual!

Got a BXpanded tooth bar for my little BX, what a game changer for my clay soil.
You're gonna like yours a lot.

Hey nice job on your bar, could you tell me where you got the teeth for your bar?
I have been thinking about buying or building a bar as I am adding a wood shed to my shop and I have tried without much success to dig and grade around there in my crappy clay hard pan soil with the bucket.

Thanks,
Bill

If you're not wanting to go to town and buy one off the shelf you might check online places like Market Place. I was at the scrapper looking for some 2" pipe and had to move some material to get what I wanted. In under some pipe was a tooth bar and the tabs on the bottom had be cut off. When I hauled it up front he said "Oh, nothing just throw it in".

I built the tabs up with the wire welder and cut the end to fit a 5' bucket on my L305. tooth bar 001.JPG

You get stuck more. The teeth tend to dig in more easily when you don't want to as opposed to the flat blade skidding along. I just had to dig my new holland out of the muck, and it did better with that than a flat blade would have.

Thanks. I bought mine from an earthmoving equipment supplier near home. I think it might be a bit far away for you.

Thanks,

I got everything on/thru the Big A. (There is apparently a place called “digger supply” that it says I bought if from on Amazon )

At the time, the actual “bar” part was either mis-labled or on "stupid-saver special” for something like 65-85 bucks, and the teeth were about the same.

That's a lot cheaper than the Piranha bar I bought, but mine has a straight side too.
