i need some help. i ordered a block heater that goes directly into the b2650 side of the motor, when i got the part theres no install instructions, it is stright forward unscrew the plug then install the heater in its place, install the plug and done. but theres a steel plug and a hose clamp that i have no clue what its for. so if anyone knows please reply thanks jim

I have a block heater in my B2301 and looked through all my paperwork but came up short. It would appear there is no paperwork for this install.
The unit seems to just thread into the side of the block below the alternator . I can see what looks like a gasket but it is not that clear.
Remember to catch the antifreeze.

On some models the plug that you need to pull and install the block heater has a bypass hose in it's place, the metal plug and hoes clamp is to plug the bypass hose.
If you have the model that has the bypass hose mounted under the plug for the block heater, congrats you have extra parts for the shelf! :D
