Hey all,

Finished restoring my 6 foot blade. Thought I'd share a few pics. It had some serious rust in a few spots behind the cutting edge. Had to grind down to good metal and fill in with the MIG welder. Used over a pound of wire.

Primed with brown primer and painted with Majic brand Kubota Orange spray cans. The restoration included all new Grade-8 hardware and new lower link pins.

Thanks eddie,

A lot of prep work went into this. I went over the whole thing with a angle grinder and flap sanding disk. It had pieces of 1/2" angle iron on the back side at each end that were used for marker sticks that I ended up grinding off. Two coats of primer and three coats of paint. Not to mention waiting for the primer/paint to dry between coats. Wish I had some before pics to show just how bad it was.

Thanks Guys! The blade was over 25 years old when I got it. It was mainly used to plow snow so you can imagine the salt and water abuse this thing took. The whole thing had a nice fine scale of rust on it when I got it.
