I went to use my L6060 this morning to clear some trees that came down in the windstorm we had last night, and as I’m driving down my gravel driveway, I thought my right rear tire was going flat b/c it felt like the tractor was leaning to the right. Turns out that the left-hand stabilizer put itself down and lifted the left rear tire off the ground. I called my Kubota dealer right away, but he didn’t have a solution, other than perhaps the lever for the stabilizer got stuck. It took some time to get the stabilizer back up. I used the tractor all day and when coming back to the house the same thing happened. Only one stabilizer was down, not both. I had to put the other one down. The lever wasn’t working at first. I finally got both of them upright and got it back to its parking spot. I noticed that there was hydraulic fluid everywhere, especially on the space where your feet go if you were using the backhoe. I think the problem is either with the foot switch for the hydraulic thumb or with the actual stabilizer levers. I posted some pics below. The fact that there is hydraulic oil above all the hoses on the platform makes me believe this is not a torn hose or anything. I’m assuming this is something tgat would be under warranty and the dealer should fix (I have less than 20 hr on the tractor).

I assume you have checked for and eliminated external hydraulic leaks.

Since it hsppened suddenly I would suspect you hsve a leaking piston seal in that cylinder.

Doesn't sound like a "leak down" situation to me, if I read it right ... If one stabilizer is LIFTING a tire, it's getting hydraulic power from somewhere ... Strange that a leak would also happen ... And controls would be unresponsive for a bit ...

Are the control levers loose flopping around? They should have some resistance and return to "center" by themselves.

Its clearly leakdown in the extend direction. It can extend with a leaking cylinder and once extended will hold a compressive load.

I guess if it leaked down while that one side went over a low spot, then dragged back up to a high spot it might lift a wheel?

Thanks for the feedback. If it was the cylinder, how did hydraulic fluid get up on the platform where your feet go? That’s what confuses me. And it does appear that the biggest puddle is by the foot switch for the hydraulic thumb.

Looling at the pics theres a massive externsl leak. That should be easy to find. If you can get it fixed under warranty great but if you snagged a hose I would not expect warranty coverage.
