Well the sub frame on the right side broke in half and pulled bolts out of axle.
Bad part is left side is cracked also. BH77 Backhoe was hard on it.

I would love to tell it's going to buff right out, butttttt...
Your looking at replacing some parts.
I don't think I've ever seen one broken like that.
I would think that the reason it did that was that the axle bolts came loose, but who knows.

sigh...man that's a friggin sad sight....
The breaking at the 'U' is understandable, it 's the weak spot..

suggestion
if possible, 'beef up' the plates with long 'stout' plates of steel !
The longer, fatter, taller the better, BOTH sides if possible.

If possible I would bridge that U over the axle and make it as long as possible.

There's already a bridge over the U. It's the long straight piece with 3 holes in each end in the first photo. My guess is the bolts at the lower end of it were loose.
I see it now, I just didn't take enough time before. Any play in those bolts will render them useless. My thought would be to fit bolts with a smooth shoulder so that they would have a bit of a press fit, reaming and using what you can find. Preloading the sub-frame by lifting the tractor by the bucket and hoe before reaming would give you a head start.

I beat the crap outa my BH76 on the same subframe. We have volcanic rock and breaking that crap free requires some serious effort. I check my mount and subframe every few months and can’t imagine it busting like that…

The biggest issue looks like the axle housing destruction. Not sure what technique to weld a scab back on that to tap would be easy or doable.

Did that back set of 3 bolts ever get installed? Those holes look unblemished…and not seeing any bolts on floor for them…that would move all that weight/torque down to the weak spot…

Good luck with the fix OP…

if you zooooom in you can see 'donuts' where the washers were.....,it's really that the rest of the unit is FILTHY dirty with oil/dust/grime/YUCK.......
Unless you weld in extra support under the "U", that IS the 'weakest link' and can fail again.
