Hi, newbie here and newbie to tractors. I recently bought a used L2800 with a BH75A backhoe. It is a great machine. I pulled a large oak stump out with it and it worked great.

Changed the oil and hydraulics, pulled all the pins, cleaned them and installed new grease fittings etc.

The bucket on the BH75A is a 24" bucket. I found a 12" bucket that would be great for trenching on my local Craigslist. I want to know if the bucket will fit on my tractor.

It has been raining hard for days, so I didn't go out and measure and hoping someone here already knows the specs so I can tell if it fits. Besides I wanted an excuse to make my first post.

Ad says the bucket for sale needs 1" pins, it's 7" from pin to pin and 4 1/2" between brackets. Will that fit?

Thanks and wonderful to be part of the site. I have spent hours reading the various forums already.

In case anyone is interested, I went out and measured my bucket last night.
It's a 24" bucket and model number is BT1953A
It has 1" pins
from inside bracket to inside bracket it is 3 3/4"
from outside to outside bracket it is 4 1/2"
from center of pin to center of pin it is 6 1/2"

Hopefully this helps someone someday

I have not bought it yet. I am concerned that he reported 7" between pins. I emailed him to ask him if he measured from center of pins or edge to edge. If it's 6 1/2" from middle of each pin, then I am confident it will work. I don't want to drive there without knowing it will work. I will update when I hear back and will post a picture.

Sorry I never updated this thread. I did not buy the bucket on that ad. I will look for a smaller bucket in the springtime.
