BF350 Replacement Bucket

is there a replacement bucket option out there for my 1989 B9200 HST with a BF350-A front loader. the leading edge is pretty messed up from previous owner. The current bucket was used to pop small stumps as well as has a removable pallet fork attachment on it. Very cool look and function, but I would like a nice bucket too.

any leads or directions for buckets that are for sale would be greatly appreciated.

Is the bucket ruined? Lots of threads about replacing the cutting edge of buckets. I think most guys do that unless the bucket is totally shot.

I have no idea what a new / used bucket would cost if you can find one and then potentially pay freight to get it to you.

Perhaps a good welding shop can straighten out that leading edge---or cut it out and simply replace it---and weld on a replacement cutting edge.

What I did was use two replacement edges, both having square-punched bolt holes. Weld one to bucket. Bolt second (sacrificial wear edge) below and slightly projecting beyond the one welded to bucket. Someday when the lower edge wears out I'll flip it over and continue using it and when all used up replace it and still have a good strong unworn lip on the bucket onto which to bolt it. Note the lower wear edge needs to be slightly wider than the one welded to the bucket so it sticks out slightly and bolt holes align.

You may have to search locally or order online. There are all kinds of cutting edges available in all sizes and most but not all use a common hole pattern (one Kubota has an odd hole pattern but, again, no problem for decent welder).

I've forgotten the name of the company but every wear edge sold in the US is made by a Canadian outfit. Search online and they'll turn up. You can call them for Tech assistance wrt sizes and bolt patterns and maybe even a fit for a particular machine.

does your local high school have a welding department ? Many AG classes are still in the high schools, at lease here they are......

You will be surprised what a group of young people can do with the right leadership - and a small donation to the school goes a long way!!!

If not - you can get the ol local welding shop will get er done.....at a cost.

that bucket can be made to look new with a little TLC!

My B219 bucket looked almost exactly like that, except it was the top edge with most of the damage. The PO had clamp-on forks that used a chain around the bucket, & he was a little over zealous when he tightened the chain binders.
I don't have any before pics, (didn't think that far ahead) but with 4x4 blocking, a 12 ton jack, a sledge hammer & maul, a large crescent wrench with a 6ft cheater bar, and some patience, I got it almost perfect. I then added a piece of 2" angle to the top edge as a stiffener.

Yep, what ever'body said, and +1 to Lil Foot's comment! With a come-along and a coupla 4x4s cut to length (and one of those BFH), you could get that leading edge straight enough to mount a Piranha bar onnit!

'Course, after that, although it's only cosmetic damage you'd prolly hafta hammer out the side, "just 'cause"!
