Hey guys I wanna spruce up my tractor before I put it on the market. What’s the easiest/best way to clean all the accumulated grease and gunk of everything without causing any damage?

first thing that comes to mind is to squirt a can of degreaser over everything and then pressure clean the lot …but I’m not sure if this might damage certain things …or is there a better way..?

tips?

Kroil or WD-40 to wipe off the excess. You don’t want to wash the grease from where it’s supposed to be.
After it’s washed grease everything again to help push water out.

I wouldn’t worry about getting it too clean, I’d be leery of looking at a used machine that looks like the owner didn’t grease it.

Since these tractors are claimed to be amphibious you should just drive through a pond or stream occasionally.

Ask your wife, significant other, girlfriend or partner to do it for you and tell them they may get a percentage of the sale.....

You've got to be kidding me. Some members wax their tractors.

(I use paper towel to remove excess grease to eliminate throw, and a hose to spray stuff off after use, but haven't buffed out the scratches. Yet.)

My 2 cents.

Get some mild degreaser like Simple Green or Awesome and knock off the grease dangles.

Wash it like a car with a car wash soap like Maguire's or similar.

Wax the hood with spray and wipe Turtle Wax ICE and call it a day...

If you have a cab Windex and / or Rain X the windows.

If you want to get crazy and have the time, use 303 on the plastics. Roof, fenders, etc. (I use 303 on my tractors and ATVs and SXS at least once a year).

Don't use a power washer. Don't use a commercial de-greaser. You want to keep your paint and decals intact.

I wash and wax with Turtle Wax Ice and 303 my equipment once or twice a year. Not for looks or pride, but for ease of cleaning and quality longevity. Car wax helps the mud, dirt, grime and snow fall off easier. 303 preserves plastic parts. I buy 303 by the gallon from Amazon.

I have also used wax on mine. My point was I wouldn’t make it look like it had never been greased. I’ve seen some tractors with hundreds of hours that have never had the loader greased. All the pins and joints are damaged usually beyond repair.

I wash / rinse mine every time I use it. And wax it in the spring and fall with a spray on wax

AH HA!
(just kidding, that's cool)

The previous owner of my tractor was very proud of regular oil changes, which is awesome. I asked him to show me the grease gun he used on it. He asked, "What do you mean?" so I asked if he owned a grease gun, which he did not. Oh oh.

Thankfully all the bushings still had reasonable grease except for two in the mower deck, one of which I might need to replace.

I have color-coded grease caps on the zerks due to dusty conditions, I think it's cool.

I have the same grease caps from LockNLube, use them on everything that has a grease fitting.
