I have just purchased a l2850. The Front axle has leaky seals where the wheels pivot for steering. Can any of you recommend where to purchase the replacement seals and gaskets for this unit that will be high quality in manufacture?

For mail order, many here use Messick's and/or Coleman's. I believe parts are all OEM.

A local Kubota dealer is also a good option.

Here is a good resource to find the current part numbers you need. Often part numbers are superseded and replaced by another number:

Agree to legal, then put in your L2850 model number.

I have used both coleman and messick a lot

problem is--shipping costs. They've gotten higher than a cat's back, and now you also have to pay sales tax too. So, by time you add shipping and tax, it's almost cheaper to just go to a local dealer and get stuff there.

This is what I have found too.

My local dealer sells for the same as Messicks/Coleman. Cheaper when you realize my local dealer does not charge shipping. Cheaper still that the parts manager lives a mile from me and I place an order over the phone and swing by his place and pick up.
Even if the local dealer is a little more expensive, give them the business. Help them be there, you never know when you'll need a widget and thy have it in stock, right now.

My CNH/Kubota dealer is less than 5 miles away and, being a good customer, my parts manager gives me a 15% discount on most parts.

I almost never buy elsewhere.

Almost but not. I just ordered $162 worth of parts from Messicks - shipping was $13 and everything will be on my doorstep tomorrow. I will not expend an hour of my time and $10 in fuel going to my local dealer who will charge me considerably more and won't have the grille I just purchased in stock requiring a return trip.

I could have purchased the two each oil and HST filters from Amazon for $10 more than Messicks and gotten "free shipping" and 3 day delivery. It would have been a wash and I would still need the grille.....

Sadly the days of $5 flat rate factory drop ship and heavily discounted prices from TractorSmart are long gone. Maybe Ronnie Bowman can find a friendly ear and enough corporate clout at Amazon to resurrect it :devilish:

My dealer is 14 miles away and if I need an OEM part I call and order it via their “usual stock” method. That way I pay no freight…. as they get weekly deliveries from Kubota distribution.
I also pay no tax on applicable items because I applied for and rec’d a Texas Timber and Ag Tax exemption permit to raise hay. It’s a simple on-line process.
