Hi All! I noticed my loader stand legs are both slightly bent/buckled just below the swivel pin. Should I replace them?
I can still uninstall the loader, but I've been noticing when I go to install the loader again, I am barely clearing the "loader towers" with the front tires. I don't know if the loader settles a bit because of the bent stand legs, or because the loader sits on the dirt floor of the barn.

I thought about using a pallet to rest the bucket onto and put plywood under the stand legs, but don't know if I will be able to uninstall the loader if it sits the 4 plus inches higher than the stand legs. I am guessing the bucket and stand legs should both be at the same level when uninstalling?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'd try to straighten them first and maybe put a 12" square of plywood under the feet. Putting the bucket on a skid would just make the tractor end of the loader frame lower.

I am wondering how they got bent. It almost sounds as if you had too much of the weight on the loader stand when taking it off the tractor. I would look again at your technique in taking the loader off to ensure that you don't bend them again.

Both of mine are bent too. Did it the 3rd time I removed loader. Still work fine though. Certainly a week point in material used.

The purpose of the legs is simply to hold the weight of the loader frame when it isn't connected to the tractor. The material used is quite sufficient for that. These legs are not designed for lifting the front end of the tractor.

You can make the stands nice big and beefy but then people complain that their loaders have limited carrying capacity. Can't please everyone, and when you try to, you end up with a monstrosity of a machine nobody wants to use.

Havent bent mine (yet) but I caught myself taking off the loader the other day not paying close attention had the bucket curled too far. As chim says it's not supposed to support the weight of the tractor make sure you dump the bucket enough so the stand isn't on the ground when you raise the wheels.

EXACTLY. If you follow the dismount instructions properly, there will never be much weight on the legs. I always use plywood pads under mine when dismounting on anything but concrete.

Done correctly, they don't need to be heavy gauge.

More like not following the removal instructions correctly Kathy. I've owned at last 10 Kubota's, all with loaders and never tweaked a leg.

I will say that the hydraulic hoses on my open station M9 are almost too short and the loader has to be 'just so' to hook them up. Something I need to address this coming spring.

I think that Cathy was simply correcting the spelling of the word weak, instead of week, as cliffboyer spelled it.

Download and install 'AdBlockerPlus'....makes the site easy on the eyes ! , no popups...
'Tweak' firefox to NOT autofill, spellcheck, etc. I'm running FF V81.0.1, zero problems.
Also tweak FF to 'clear history' but UNCHECK 'cookies' and 'active logins'.

Excellent thought -
those using Chrome - or anything else - ADBLOCK or adblock plus or anything like that will help tremendously.

I have NOT seen an AD on this page in 6 years!

I am a new owner of an old L3600 with an LA680 loader. I need to remove the loader. Can anyone send pictures or a design and or measurements of the stands?

Unfortunately that loader must be new a different model. Mine is LA680 and I think it has some type of leg that fits in a square hole back by the tractor cowl.
