I have a 2006 B7800 with a RC72 (72") belly deck. Cutting grass this weekend the belt tensioner bracket broke off right at the mounting of the assy on the deck. I was baffled how this could happen since it is 3/8" solid steel. I removed it from the deck to inspect closer and noticed the grease fitting hole was not all the way through the housing and into the bushing. My question is this. Does the housing pivot around that internal bushing or does it pivot on the mounting bolt? I was able to look at the expanded parts view at Kubota's web site and notice a top and bottom bushing and the longer bushing the mounting bolt goes through. Signed, Confused in Virginia.

The bracket pivots on the sleeve. The bolt should hold the sleeve tight to the deck. I find many of them have not been greased often enough causing the sleeve to stick in the tensioner arm and loosen the bolt.

Sorry for replying so LATE! You know I believe it was my fault for missing that area during maintenance. Won't happen again! Thank you!
