I put an 800cca in my l1501. Little smaller then your tractor. But boy she sure glow plugs good and cranks fast :D it's been getting a little sluggish lately but most of that is due to a 30 year old starter thats due for a rebuild.

Measure the battery tray and go with the norm for that size, you really don't need a huge CCA battery to get the job done.

600 to 800 is norm, go with the higher value if your cold or if it's a hard starter. ;)

Thats not saying if you can get 1000 cold cranking amp battery that fits, doesent mean you should. 800 is more than enough, when approacing 1000,plates get thinner so they can fit more. I get more life out of a 750 or 850 than a 1000 cca battery. Sold, tested, installed 1000+batteries.
Been thinking about replacing my battery too, gets really weak when colder, afraid i may smoke the starter if i keep this up.

It is true that a 800 cranking amp battery is able to use heavy plates instead of thin ones tightly packed in the same space. I have a L245DT and use 1 of the batteries out of my 7.3 Ford 350.

all of my kubota motors get used cat batteries, that are 3 years old, or so. The new batteries go on the vehicles that need to be ultra dependable. I think 210 CCA would start most kubotas, IMHO.:D

I measured my original battery and noted the positive lug location and went to Costco and bought an Interstate that fits in perfectly and has 30% more CCA. OK, I live in AZ but, my barn gets down in the 40's at night. Ten seconds on glow and that piggy starts up right now.

You can never have too many CCAs... Especially in the Great White North...

I run the exact same Costco battery in my Kubota, F350 Powerstroke, and V10 Excursion. I think it's rated 850/1000 and 100 month warranty for about $100.
