I have a B1600 for some time now. It works fine, but to be prepared for the day it won’t start I consider buying a battery charger with jump start function. I have a 12v 50 Ah (Mondial Batteries ref 422+) battery. The starter motor is 12V 0,8 kW if I’m right, so it will take 66A to let it run. The Telwin LEADER 150 START 230V 12V code 807549 can provide 75A so my guess would be that this is charger / starter would do the job. Can anyone confirm or dispute this?

I assume given this time of year in France you're experiencing cold temperatures. Is the tractor struggling to start because its cold or is the battery weak? Could be a simple fix of a new battery or time to replaces the glow plugs if the tractor struggles to start.

I have a battery 15/2 amp charger with a 100 amp start option and it easily turns the B7001 with a dead battery. Unfortunately I don't know the draw of the starter motor.

The 100 A you talk about, is that the peak starting current or the (much lower) sustained starting current. Some well documented chargers/starters specify both. Others specify only one current and that probably is the high peak starting current.

BTW, I am in the Provence so its not so cold. And I have no problems now but want to be prepared.

I have no idea, amellau. My route would be to break out the jumper cables, instead.
But, I do want to say welcome to OTT! This is a great site, and one of the perks is getting to know owners from other countries. Blessings to you.
