Concrete showed up early today. Good thing the crew was onsite finishing prep. Of course I’m not home. Will get some more photos when I’m home later today
Ohooo Nooo.....HORRIBLE situation!
One should NEVER allow concrete to be poured when not personally supervised!
As the Concrete Institute long ago advertised.... "concrete is forever".
So are the concrete pouring screw ups!

Lucky for me they did a good job. I was hoping for a screw up and a nice 10x20 apron gratis but it was not to be. They will be back tomorrow to cut it and next week to seal

Shell is up. Still need gutters and a garage door. I did make it home while they were finishing the concrete. Now to keep off of it with equipment for 10 days. Back to making bacon to keep me occupied

Progress continues. Concrete cut yesterday and garage door going in this morning in a sunny but cool 17 degrees. I’ll get some pictures at lunch. Outstanding items at this point are gutters and electric

Looks nice. You will have it filled in no time.
Next year, when the OP begins planning for his second building, :ROFLMAO:wonder if he will plan for it to be attached, or free standing?

Need to replenish the bank account first and the wife wants some new furniture. Building 2 is a long way off

It took
Need to replenish the bank account first and the wife wants some new furniture. Building 2 is a long way off
It was 7 years until the construction date of my building #2.
# 1 is 36 x 48 (1,728 sf.), #2 is 40 x 50 (2,000 sf.)
Both are full!

Furniture DEPRECIATES rapidly!
My Morton building is worth 7+ times more than I paid for it in 1984.
Caveat: Wife ran off with her boyfriend 30 years ago, so I have no wife/furniture issue.
At 82, have no need for new wife,.... or new furniture! ;)
Only an annual renewable lease now!

Looks like they are back to do final grade today. Wouldn’t mind some stone left over to fill a few driveway holes.

They end up hooking you up with any extra stone?
Nope. Used everything they had and hooking me up would have been a change order that I would have had to pay. Driveway is 2023 project best done under the warm sun. I may go to Harbor Freight and pick up some furniture dolly’s for my implements next week. Caught that head cold over Thanksgiving and it is kicking my butt. Best to stay home and watch Columbo reruns and consume lots of tea.

Those HF dollies come in handy for so many things!
I have a selection of them.
Small ones, plus larger ones, for what ever need may arise.

Get well soon!
