I need to make a ballast for the three point of my tractor, but I also want to be able to hook up and skid logs with it at the same time and I also want to be able to have a receiver hitch on it that I can use to move my trailer around. The problem I see is that the box will block the view of the hitch. I’m used to being able to see it and pick up the trailer without getting off the tractor. Anybody build anything like I’m talking about?

Give some information on your tractor type. Do you have any idea on amount of weight your trying for.
Maybe Heavy Hitch can help you out, here's mine only cat 1 and 500lbs you would need larger maybe check out their website. Mine has a built in hitch, hook, and safety chain loops. I also purchased their weight cart which you shove into the hitch, lower to the ground and roll it easily across the garage, R&R takes only seconds.
I looked at heavy hitch and that’s a possibility. May have to customize it a bit, but definite possibility. Thanks for the pic.
Heavy Hitch weld quality is off the charts. Looks like they TIG weld them they are that clean of spatter, really nice finish work they take pride in their product.
