I need to do a 50 hr service check on my L3800 hst and i received a price of $260.00 for all oils, filter and labor. Im not sure if that is a fair price or not I would like a dealer to do it for warranty purpose and make a record of it. Thanks for your help

260 bucks sounds about right. I know my dealer offers a Spring service special and I want to say its somewhere around 260. They may charge a little more for hauling it in doing the work and returning it back to you.

Sounds about right. We spoke with our dealer about it and have done the maintenance on all of our Kubotas. We just keep the receipts for fluids and such. Our dealer offered to send someone down and do the 50 on site for $100 plus parts that we had already purchased. We did it and saved the money.

Seconding what TripleR said, you can do the service yourself and still maintain the warranty. The dealership doesn't have to do it- just make sure you use approved fluids, and document the hours/what was done.

I'm coming up on my 50hr mark myself. I plan to do the service myself and my dealer said as long as I buy the correct oil and filters preferably from him that it wouldn't effect the warranty.

Yes by all means if you can do it your self, for several reasons not the least you become much more intimate with your tractor, you can see what if anything is broken and just know you did it your self and its done right!
And as for a dealer trying to tell you that you will void your factory warranty that is pure bunk!!! Please read the link below, your mileage may vary, discluds any dealer incentives and customer buy backs.0% financing for the first 7 days, thereafter 17% compounded biweekly, and thank you for shopping at Kmart
