Hello Kubota Friends:

Has anyone experienced cylinders leaking down after the tractor has been stored for several days? One of my backhoe stabilizers and bucket cylinder are doing this after sitting idle for several days.

Model is new 3901 w/BH77 backhoe attachment with under 50 hours of operation

Dealer claims some of this is normal.

FWIW I have a BX24 & when storing the BH I use a strap to keep the stabilizers up out of the way or they will leak down over time. Haven't noticed the bucket moving.

All cylinders leak down a bit, nothing is ever 100% in those. This is normal. My stabilizers leak down after a few days unless I strap them up with a simple bungee cord. Same for the bucket, it slowly starts to uncurl over a week or more. No external leaks, just that the piston inside the cylinders has very slow leakage of oil between both sides when weight is applied to one side.
