Hey all

Had a question I was hoping to get some help on. I was using my machine earlier today, when I noticed the left hand boom lift handle performing different. All of a sudden, it seemed like I had to put more pressure than normal when pulling back on the handle to lift the boom. It seemed odd to do it mid-operation. I took the cover off, inspected everything, and everything on the outside seems ok. The machine has 84 hours on it. All other functions on the backhoe haven’t seemed to change in how they perform, just, perhaps the lift for the whole boom.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Steve

Is this a BX23 or a BX23S? Either way, an O-ring might have split or come out of its normal placement, causing you to exert additional effort. If it is still under warranty, ask your dealers service department. You never know when you are not the first person to experience a manufacturing defect, and they have seen it before.

Hey Dusty

Its a 23S. Thanks for the insight, I will reach out to them. What you mentioned would sound right. Sometimes it won’t feel resistant, but most of the time it does.
