If any of you have ever had the chain connection/s on you swing piston I came up with a permanent solution after years of jury rigging. It wasn't $1200 dollars for a new one. Bill

Might make more sense to anyone reading this tread if you gave a hint as to what your solution was...

I was not sure any one else had run into this, I fabricated end caps to go over the originals with seals. I used 1X4 inch steel bar. The same thickness as the end caps on it. I was then able to reproduce the slots that the chain connects to. I can post pictures if some has this issue. I have a Woods B7500 which I think is the same as a Kubota but am not sure. The end caps are cast and mine broke when the upper capstan bearing failed every thing else I tried was not strong enough and was about to order a new piston. Added 1" to each side of the cylinder but to my surprise lost no swing range. I made new bushings from stall mat. I used a 2" hole saw for the center and 4 holes for the rods. I purchased a drill press to drill holes.

I think it would be great if you could post some pictures. Doing so could be helpful to someone in the future as well.

Innovative solutions are helpful to all of us, even if we do not have that particular issue at the moment. I for one would like to see what you did.
