Back blading and bending 3.arms?

I was wondering if anyone knows that if you push snow or dirt backward, while using a rear blade, if it's common or possible to bend the 3. arms.

I have heard about this, but alot of people "push" with their blade and wondering if this happened to anyone. I am new to this site, and just purchaced my first kubota(B2320) back in Sept. I love it.

Why I 'm asking is that I have heard the 3. arms are made for pulling not pushing.

Well sir I've just spent 4 hours today on my B6100E plowin snow and for me it seems like I do alot better with the blade turned around and pushing back wards. I get better traction and seem to move more snow that way. I was having the problem if I pulled it forward that it would build up under the tires and get in the way. Then I'd have a small mountain to back over top of to make the next pass. And yes in the past from my own sheer stupidity I have trashed the 3pt hitch in the summer back pushin with a grading box, but where I screwed up I had the top link out real far and that put the grading box on an angle. BAD IDEA! But as long as its level and if you watch out for objects in the ground that may cause a snap you should be fine.

I have had my tractor for five years and I never cut my Gearmore box scraper any slack. The back side has a blade just like the front so the back side is treated as a dozer. Snow, mud, dirt, rocks, felled trees and even my buddies car have fallen victim to my Gearmore and the links are still straight. But now you're making me nervous

Hi Guys. A few years ago I had an 18hp massey ferguson garden tractor with a 4 cyl chevy motor on it and a 4 ft back blade. Surprise surprise, bent the tph. I think it was because there was too much side play on the tph. I beefed up the tph and tightened up the side play and it never happened again. Dusty

I'm with traildust, I've done alot of back peddling with my grading box and the snow plow. The last thing that trashed my 3pt hitch was the bush hog! WHAT THE HELL! Yeah I was running a 4ft Woods bush hog, in the woods behind me house and all the sudden I no longer had a bush hog following me. That was a bad feeling. I have no clue as to why it fell off or how I broke the 3pth hitch. I trashed the splined rod that goes under the tractor seat that does the brunt work of lifting.

About a hundred dollar bill and an hour of time. I'm not sure the technical name of the splined rod that runs there the bottom of there the tractor seats bolts. But all I had to do was remove 10 or 12 bolts, undo a snap ring tap out the old splined rod and knock in a new one. And then reassemble. Then took it off and reassembled again because I was not paying attention when I put it back on and I had the hyd cylinder wrong.

Nawh brother it wasn't all that bad, trust me if I can do it of all people anybody can. I just have a knack for looking at things studying them and figuring out by trial and error. And don't get me wrong I have my moments of fighting and struggling then feeling like a big idiot because something fell out without me paying attention to how it happened! I yours needs to be replaced I'll give ya my phone number and walk you threw the whole thing over the phone. I think I had the whole thing swapped out in an hour or so.

About two years ago I was useing the box blade on my B7100 grading a gravel road on my farm. I was pushing backward and the blade caught on a rock outcrop and bent the @#*! out of the lower link pin! had to cut it off flush with a sawzall and drive it out with a drift pin! If I remember correctly it was almost $30 for the replacement at the local dealer!
