hi
I am looking to make or buy a ballast box for my b9200. What size/weight would be good for this model tractor. My first impression was the heavier the better but now after reading some more information about it i don't want to make it too heavy or too light. Is there a general rule of thumb as to how much weight i should have in the back of the tractor? The tires (as far as i know) are not weighted. I will be "playing" in dirt by moving some significant amounts of it and on some sloped terrain.

Thank you for your input.

I have a B9200 (I see you have another post out here too I responded to) and I use approx 800lb counterweight. According to the specifications, the tractor is designed to lift a 1000-1200lb weight depending on how far it is out on the arms.

I used a 18"x18"x5' waste concrete block and broke it in half...

Thanks for your reply. I am just curious how did you get the pins into the concrete block?

My plan is to either make a box out of wood and fill it with cement or have someone build me one out of metal and put rocks and stuff in it. I just don't want it to bee too heavy or too light.

Thanks
