My B8200 stalls out when going uphill. Runs fine on level ground. Have replaced the fuel filter, added injector cleaner, put in fresh fuel, looked in the tank for anything obvious.

I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Terry

does it stall using you loader on level ground, if it does is it empty, full? other than the fuel starvation to the filter, perhaps you fuel pump or injector pump? Flow may be enough to tool around the yard, but going uphill or under load may lack enough fuel.

Thanks for the reply.

The thing runs fine when using the loader. Only on an incline does it seem fuel starved. Is there a way to monitor fuel pressure?

you can use a fuel pressure gauge to monitor the pre-injector pump pressure, just get a 0-30 psi gauge a Napa or other parts store, and tap into the line(if it is rubber) not sure what the psi should be on your rig but I would guess somewhere around 5-15psi before the injector pump. The injector pressure could be anywhere between 35-100psi plus you would need to tap into your hard line(s) to read the pressure

probably just water in the tank, my 2350 does it when it leans more to the right side of the tractor, blows white smoke everywhere. is yours smoking white? run some marvels mystery oil or power service premium thru it, pour the whole bottle in and work it hard. check air filter and bleed the injectors as well as the filter housing.

Thanks for the replies folks. Will have to wait a few weeks to get back into the problem. Have to go the midwest and enjoy the heat and humidity...

Well, after some time in the midwest and some time taking care of loose ends when we got back home I was able to get back to the problem here. I originally replaced the fuel and fuel filter.

I wound up draining the tank completely and capturing some of the fuel in a jar. It's amazing the crap that came out of the tank. Dirt, water and what looked like a sunflower seed??? I don't eat the things so it's hard telling how long that had been in there.

I took the tank out and had it cleaned out at a radiator shop. I then put it back in along with all new fuel lines and a new fuel filter.

The thing runs like a Kubota now.

Thanks to all of you who offered advice.

This posts makes me want to pull my tank off for a good cleaning before winter kicks in.
I hate down time when the drive way is plugged with snow.

Glad you're up and running!
