I just recently purchased my first tractor. It's a 1986 B8200 hydrostatic 4wd
with a BF300 loader on it. It has 605 hours on it and seems to be a good little machine so far. I purchased it to help maintain the four acres we now live on. I payed 5700 for it : hope it was a fair deal.
I have used newer tractors of friends that are a little more user friendly so i have some questions about mine. Where is the fuel filter located? Where is the hydraulic filter at? There is a Dip stick to the right of on floor pan in front of the seat. Is this the hydraulic fluid dipstick? Should this be checked running or off? How do I check front and rear differential fluid levels? What kind of fluid in diffs and hydraulics? Sorry for all the Questions just want to maintain this best I can. I dont have a owners manual or repair manual. (Know where i can download one?)
My oil level seems to be a little high and what I suspect is the hydro fluid is low. Is this the dreaded seal leak at the pump? Will it hurt anything?
Once again thanks for reading and allowing a newbie into the forum.
