IT HAS BEEN CORRECTED !!!!

I believe what happened is that the glow plug INDICATOR went bad, that is, the INSULATOR disintegrated between one of the studs for the wiring, thus causing a direct flow to ground. That would explain why the indicator got white hot immediately, and also why, after I replaced that indicator, and did basically nothing else to the glow plug / wiring, it is working perfectly !! I even tried it and was shaking the wires the whole time just to make sure there is nothing else, and everything seems to be working fine.

I did take all the glow plugs out and test each one, and was totally baffled because they all seemed to work fine, and there was no issues with the electrical system ( the fusible link in particular ) when everything was disconnected. So I just put it all back together, and everything seems to be fine.

YIPPIEE !!!!! I CAN SCRAPE THE SNOW OFF THE DRIVEWAY AGAIN !!!!!

Thanks for all the advice and help !
