My 4WD B8200 is missing the front driveshaft. A man who repairs Kubotas says he has a collection of drive shafts but most are not marked. How can I identify the correct drive shaft ?

I counted the splines on the yoke on the transmission side, I think there are 18 splines. I may press some clay around the shaft and get a closer view. Its not so easy to count.Like D2Cat said there is no way to identify the shaft without matching it to an existing shaft, there are no markings on the parts that will be identifiable or trackable.
What part or parts do you need (from the pic below)?
If it's just the shaft that's not too hard, if it's the whole assembly then that's going to be tough!
Now for the really bad news, that drive shaft was only used in 3 models, B20, B8200-D and B8200-HSTD, so it's rare.
I think your missing the bigger picture, almost all of the front wheel drive shafts will have the same spline count in the era, it's not the spline count that is the issue, it's the length of all the components that is the issue, they will all vari a little, and one will not fit in another's location.I counted the splines on the yoke on the transmission side, I think there are 18 splines. I now have what appears to be the complete drive shaft and various bits associated with it. For $50I think your missing the bigger picture, almost all of the front wheel drive shafts will have the same spline count in the era, it's not the spline count that is the issue, it's the length of all the components that is the issue, they will all vari a little, and one will not fit in another's location.
You never said what all pieces do you need?
