B7800 Glow plug light

I've a 2008 B7800, just wondering:
When I switch to activate the glow-plugs, should the light remain on, or is it supposed to go out when the plugs are hot enough?
If it does not go out automatically, how long should I activate them for. (allowing for outside temperatures of course)

I don't think there is a timer on your model for the glow plugs. Believe it's on while that light is on in the position just before the starter engages. I would say 5-10 seconds while it's warmer out and 10-15 seconds during winter temps.
