My tractor was at Idle while I was loading wood in the bucket. After about 10 min it stalled and will not restart. Checked fuses, found blown 5amp fuse for Key switch shutoff, replaced fuse and tried starting, no go. Unpluged Engine stop solenoid and retried starting, still no go. Made sure everything was in proper positions and checked connection all over. Tried jump starting. When I turn the key, everything lights up but no click or anything from the starter.
Has anyone else had this problem?

You can download a workshop manual that covers your B7800 for free or a small donation, from kubotabooks.com.

The WSM for the B2710/2910 covers the B7800, which is the economy version of the B2910 more or less. There is an appendix at the back of this WSM covering the B7800.

Suggest you download it and check out the electrical diagram...

I have a b7800 and if i do not set the brake and if I get off the tractor and it slightly moves it goes off. Just for a chance turn key and move the HST pedal back and forth and see if it starts or al least turns over and starts.

Always check the basics - you could have a fuel problem, and the fuse blowing is coincidence. Yes, it does happen. Check to make sure you are getting fuel.

Assuming you have fuel, on to the electrical:

Fuses don't blow just because they are having that time of the month. They DO sometimes just age out and pop, but usually a blown fuse means something is wrong. Re-check that fuse you replaced. If it's blown, you need to find out why. If it's still good, look for another fuse somewhere.

No other fuses? Then start with a meter and see if power is getting to the starter when you turn the key. Verify the voltage.

Thank You Guys! I will check out both of these things. I can borrow a
volt meter and see if I get any voltage at the starter. Are there any other fuses for the starter other than the one that was blown? I have the full
set of shop manuals and am starting to go thu them. Thanks for your help JD

Clarity needed, won't start or won't crank?
Because if it's cranking no need to check the starter.
If it's not cranking check all the levers and pedals to make sure it's in a start state.

+1 on the HST pedal. It needs to find the neutral position. Tap it back and forth a little with your foot and allow it to find the neutral position on the safety switch.

There is a grease zerk under the floor board for that connection and movement at the point of attachment for the pedal.

I want to say thanks to all of the people who answered my post about
my B7800 that would not start. Several of you gave helpful hints and with them I was able to get it running! The main problem was the control lever for the mid-mount PTO. I had gone over the levers several times but on the last time I noticed that the lever moved back a little and didn't stay at the stop. I have never used this thing and don't expect to as I have nothing to hook to it. However that spring back was the key. I got a light and could that the two micros just bearly touched their pads when I held the lever forward. I managed to get an adjustable wrench in there and extended the micros. As soon as I turned the key we got action!
Thanks again, Joe Damon
Merry Christmas everyone!
