First post on this terrific forum!

As my handle indicates, I don't have an "orange" tractor... yet. I'm looking at a used B7510 and would appreciate a price check. Please consider that I'm located in Canada.

Description:
B7510, approx. 600 hours, with Curtis cab with heat. Cab is a hard cab with hinged canvas doors. Included accessories are: LA302 loader, B2733A under mount, B2782B front mount blower, CBX60 Bushhog box scraper, B2782 ballast box. The unit looks pretty good.

Asking Price: $21K CAD HOW DOES THIS PRICE STACK UP?

Technical questions:
1) this unit emits a little puff of black smoke every time it is started. It does not smoke continuously but rather the "puff" looks like the first firing pulse on each cylinder, then runs clean. Is this normal?

2) both front spindles have slight oil weepage - their bottom ends are wet to the touch but not dripping. I can't see an obvious source of the leak. Wheels/tires are dry. Any clues as to the source of this weeping oil, and how serious an issue this might be?

Operational Question:
1) does the B7510 have enough power to run this front-mount blower in real snow? (please forgive the newbie question as it comes from a guy who has always had much bigger but older farm tractors running 72" "back up" 3 pt hitch blowers).

Many thanks for your well-considered replies. I'm getting more than a little excited about perhaps getting my first Kubota.

Look at this price :

The owner is a bit high in my book.....600 hours, just getting broken in, no worries there.

Puff at start up - no worries, smoking after 30 seconds or more, might be worn rings. Every machine I have belches a bit at start up!;)

Seals are worn on the front end, check the "dipstick" to see if it low. That could be used as a bargaining chip too.

As for the blower - it should be fine unless the depth or wetness becomes and issue.

I would not pay the 21k..........

I would run it through it's paces, gonna be hard to blow snow, but you can spin it and see how it handles. Check heat in Cab - if AC check that too. Have him place on the FEL if not already on - look at cutting edge of loader, under the bucket too - look at zerks, been greased? Look at the small stuff, everywhere......ask for all details on upkeep, all the oils should have been changed at least twice by now.........or more.

pull out 19k in crisp $100's........and tell him thats what cha got, then IF YOU have to, reach in pocket #2 and pull out a few more:)

At 21k - it is still a "fair" deal based on ALL the goodies you are getting and should last you almost a lifetime if taken care of!

shoot us some pictures when you buy it!:D:)

I have a B7610, next HP size up... Puffs at startup... UDT2 weeps ever so slighty at front spindles. I think I over-filled the front axle and it heated up a touch and caused a little pressure cuase they never leaked before. A soft-sided Curtis Cab was 35-4000 but its no longer available.

Check the filters and have a look at hydraulic fluid, make sure its not milky.

I paid 10,500 for mine with 269 hrs, LA352 loader. 60" MMM and turf tires. You're in Canada, so while that price is ridiculous to me, it may not be that far off. Ive never run a snowblower on mine, so Im no help there.

Im actually interested in moving into an L chassis. I use a 6 foot 6 inch plow that pins on my loader arms. Never ran out of power, but lost traction. Rim Guard in rear tires helped, but having a 3000lb machine would help even more...

Thanks for the timely feedback - mucho appreciated.

This unit has just been serviced by the owner with new Kubota-branded hydraulic fluid, engine oil and filters. Grease is evident on all the zerks. The blower spins quite freely, and the underbody mount for it seems in good shape, no noise from the bearings when the PTO is engaged. As an old farm tractor guy it just seems weird to see a PTO shaft spin so fast! :D

The loader has done some work, as evidenced by the cutting edge, but all the pins are tight and there's no play to be found in it. It has no lifting hooks so it likely hasn't been over-stressed. I think Kubota's design philosophy for loaders is the bucket supplied with the loader should be good to lift a full load of dry dirt without maxing out the loader. I think this bucket has actually lifted more snow than anything else.

I'll be having another chat with the owner this evening. He seems like a pretty solid character. Will post back here if we are able to strike a deal.

Again, many thanks for the advice!

Well, it looks like I'm the proud new owner of a B7510! Will pick it up next week if all goes according to plan.

As luck would have it, a local dealer just listed an RKC60-24B mower on consignment. I took a look at it and it is in good shape so it looks like I now have a MMM for the B7510. Will have the mowing deck in hand before the tractor arrives! :)
