I've got 23x8.5-12 turf tires on the front of my B7500. They have a slow leak so I called the tire shop and he said he can't put tubes in them as they would pop. WTF!?!?! I run 22psi when the loader is on and 18psi for grass cutting. Anyone ever heard of this or is this guy just being a dick?

He may be ignorant or he may not be capable of working on a tire that size. Find another tire shop.

I agree with Roadworthy, however why didn't you ask him, "Why do you say that"? And get the answer from the horses mouth. Then maybe even ask him what would he recommend.....

And if he gives you a "stupid" answer, just smile and ask him, "Who is your stiffest competition" in a very friendly, non-threating tone. Then say "thanks" and go there!!!!

The place has always been amazing for car tires. Would recommend them in a heartbeat. He said he doesn't think they will take the load and pop.

I run a tube in the one front tire of my L2500. Slight sidewall damage which caused a small air leak and I have had no issues running a loader with heavy loads on it.

When I bought my B7500 with turf tires it had tubes in both front tires. I ran it that way for 3 years with no problems. Finally replaced the tires this spring because the tube was sticking out the side of one of them in a weather crack.

tubes are easy to source and install. I put one in my rear tire of my B1750, only took a little struggling. The way a tube can expand to fill non-torus shapes is amazing.

You might check on the cost of the tube plus the installation and it might be cheaper to replace the tire if the rim is in good shape.
