New to Forum.. I bought this B7500 new in 2003. It has done it's share of hard work mainly after moving and having to clear about 5 acres of extremely grown up area. I have 615 hours on it and just recently purchased an L2800 so now the B7500 is mainly used to mow grass in the summer.

I have noticed that the loader LA272 doesn't seem to want to go down. The control lever will not make the bucket drop unless I push it all the way up into float and it takes (not a lot) but considerable force to get it into float position. I noticed this sometime back and it would not work and then it would work perfect. Over time it has gotten to the point that it will almost never go in the down direction (bucket down, lever up) without forcing it into the float position.

Any ideas of what could cause this or where I would start to diagnose the problem.

Thanks,

Well I took the loader valve assembly off and also removed the two cup/caps at the bottom that cover the ends of the pistons. One of them the spring and all was very clean, looked like new. The other was a mess, I am assuming this is my problem. It has a steel sleeve that resembled a socket over the end of it. I worked it back and forth and when it came off 5 ball bearings came flying out. The sleeve is worn badly and was extremely dirty like mud in it. I assume it has had some water in there, it was rusted up also. I put the whole thing in a bucket and cleaned with brake fluid. Now I think I need to take it into the Kubota place and get the parts needed for the repair.

Hanksride, I had pretty much the identical problem with my B7500 - the bucket wouldn't go down unless I put it in float. It was intermittent. I eventually discovered the problem. I don't know why, but it does this when the lever to raise/lower the 3-pt hitch is not exactly in the neutral (middle) position. If it's a little out of position, it messes up the FEL power-down. You may already have discovered this, but thought I'd share just in case.
