B7200HST-D Front Axle pivot lubrication

Quick question - I can't seem to locate the front axle pivot point / pin grease nipple.

B7200HST-D

The service manual shows where it's located on the 2wd version, but does not show it on the 4wd version. And I can't find it on the machine itself!!

Is there no grease nipple on the 4wd machines?
how does one go about greasing it, without removing the axle and the pin?

thoughts / suggestions?

I looked again... didint see anything.
here are some pics.

The 2WD unit has a grease nipple on the right-side. The manual stipulates where it is - but only for 2WD. There is nothing in there for the 4WD version......
Yes I do have the correct manual - instructions for how to change the front-diff and axle oils are in there.

The front pivot pin is lubed by the fluid in the case, no external grease zerks on these old models.

Your o-rings need replaced too as the area shouldn't be wet. There is a good chance when you pull the pivot pin you will find that's it worn. If it's bad, check the bushings too for excessive wear. All of the parts are still available for purchase. If they are good, then they can be reused....

I hope so... there is an o-ring on the I inside of the bushing. If that's a packing seal then not much is going to get in there unless the outer race that hosts the bushing has a pilot hole to allow some splash lubrication in there....
The inside O-ring seals the bushing to the case the outside O-ring seals the pin to the bushing.
The inside of the case is hollow and the diff spinning splashes oil onto the pin keeping it well lubed.

Gosh, seems like a robust, durable design...no thanks!
It's actually a very durable maintenance free design.
It was also used on the 30 - 40 year old tractors so you won't see it with your new toys.
So you can go out in the cold, rain, sleet, snow and grease your axle, I don't have to. 🤣

The inside O-ring seals the bushing to the case the outside O-ring seals the pin to the bushing.
The inside of the case is hollow and the diff spinning splashes oil onto the pin keeping it well lubed.
Of the inside oring doesn't seal the bushing against the case, then the bushing gets wet with oil - which is a good thing - and that oring has no reason to exist. It's not sealing anything.

I would think an oring would seal the pin against the case in which scenario the bushing will not get any oil from the pin center Getting splashed wirhllth oil.

I know kubota didn't screw up so I'm curious how oil gets past the oring to get to the bushing.... or of the part of the case that the bushing is seated in - actually has a hole in it to allow oil to splash directly in there.

Good call!... but as it turns out, the area is wet from my spraying rust check on the frame and chassis of the tractor. The orings are good - It was dry before I did that.

The outer o-ring keeps oil from seeping between the bushing and the case, and the inner o-ring seals between the bushing and the pivot pin/bolt.
