B7200 Rear Ag Tire Size interchangeability

My original brochure indicates the B7200 HST could be outfitted with either the 8-16 or 9.5-16 Ag tires. My machine has original Bridgestone 8-16. After reading several posts that were unfavorable for Turf Tires being good for traction in mud, I'm rethinking to replace my 20 year old tires with 9.5-16 Cropmaster Ag tires - this "brand" seems less aggressive on tread bite, and the slightly wider width would be more turf friendly when I move the machine from shed to loading area in driveway. Can someone with more knowledge confirm I can use the same 16" rims for a slightly wider tire (9.5" vs 8")? Anything to be said about the Cropmaster brand - I'm sure they're Chinese because they are reasonably priced - but I'm trying to steer away from an aggressive Ag tread such as the Carlisle Farm Specialist - that's some serious tread.. Thx for any guidance on this - JD :)

subscribed, cause i'm gonna need new shoes soon and was worried about RC after i found a decent deal on new shoes for the rear, fronts were reasonable but different brand, so kind of curious about this between different tire manufactures

If your machine is 4 WD you have to be careful about not affecting the ratio between the rolling circumference of the front and rear tires from the original spec..

This factor is part of the original design of the machine and you cannot just haphazardly change it without risking axle and transmission damage.

I have attached a John Deere info page to give you more info on the topic.

Thx Dave for the Deere guidance. So I was researching older posts on this same subject - mass confusion. So I have the original Sales brochure for the B7200HST. Kubota lists the following combinations of front and rear tires for the 4WD:

use 6-12B front with 8-16 rear Agricultural Tire

use 6-12 front with 9.5-16 rear Agricultural Tire (note - no "B")

I also see this question of "B" vs no "B" has come up in the past forum with no clarity offered.

Since I prefer to purchase the 9.5-16 for greater width at foot, and I already have 6-12 Gators on the front, I think I'm cleared to move ahead based on the factory spec. I will call the Kubota dealer who will be mounting and loading the tires if I can use the same rims.

I just put a brand new set of Carlisle Farm Specialty R1 Ag tires on my B7200. These are excellent tires for traction and are made in the USA too! My machine originally came with turf tires. After lengthy searching, I was able to locate a salvage machine that had the very rare ag rims. The front are 6-12 and rear are 9.5-16. I believe the "B" in the front rims were slightly narrower. I'll have to check when I get home. I don't believe you can fit 9.5-16 tires on an 8-16 rim, but I could be wrong.
