I was doing some bush hogging with my B7200 HST using a 48" bush hog rotary mower and noted that in some spots going up hill the tractor would lose steam, stop, and whine when I tried to keep going. I then would go in reverse up the same slope and the tractor would make it fine. What gives? Is reverse geared differently?

Going up hill should be in low range. While moving forward, uphill As pressing go pedal as it loses power you back off not press harder. Its a pressure vs volume thing, as volume goes up(faster) pressure goes down.

So in essence, the less you push on pedal the harder it will pull. Reverse has a built in stop, so it stands to reason it has more power.

Thanks for the reply, yes when I roll off the pedal it does have more power. This issue almost sounds/feels like a high pressure relief valve is weak, i.e. Bypassing too soon.
