So, I have a questions on my tractor. It's a B7200 with a 3 point hitch with PTO it also has a front bucket on it. When it runs for a period of time it starts dumping oil out of the "overflow" from the valve cover on the motor.
With that in mind, it never seems to need oil...so my thought is maybe hydraulic fluid is bleeding into the engine??

The other question is I have no visible Hydraulic leaks on the tractor, however, if I am using the tractor the rear hydraulics bleed off and won't stay set. I turn the knob to adjust the hydraulic speed for the rear and it will stay set, but if I move the front bucket it drops it all the way down and is kinda a pain to get it to lift again.

So My question on this second part is if I take off the lever where the rear lifts up and down and try and replace any seals will that solve it?

I am a pretty good mechanic however I'm new with tractors. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If its spewing oil from engine vent, that is your biggest concern. Hydraulic oil is not meant as an engine lubricant.i would make necessary repairs to stop hydraulic oil from polluting the motor above all else.

You've got a bad seal on the hydraulic pump, you might possibly get away with replacing the seal but more times than not it will require you to replace the pump.

And No replacing seals on the lever for the three point won't do a thing for it.
It sounds like you need to put new seals in the piston for the three point.

But like others have said fix the pump and fluid situation first as inducing air into the hydraulic system will make everything go out of whack! ;)

Have you checked the fluid levels?
I loose hydraulic fluid, but didn't think it could enter into the crankcase.

Today I checked the hydraulic screen, but oddly enough there wasn't one.

I am going to pull the pump this week and will get back with you.

I hope it's just a seal and it will be up n running.

If you are blowing oil from crancase vent, and oil level isnt dropping then something is refilling crankcase, hydraulic oil, diesel fuel or coolant.
Any one of the three is bad, best to identify issue and repair it. Major thing id change engine oil asap.
