Hi all,
I am in the process of rebuilding the gearbox on my B7100D and have discovered that there is a shim missing from the front of the 3rd,5th, pto shaft (from a previous rebuild I guess, some other bits not right either) it fits between the circlip and the bearing at the front of the shaft, #14 on the parts diagram, Kubota pn 62131-14170 . My local Kubota dealer has told me that this part is no longer available and I have been unable to find one on the internet. I was wondering if anyone could give me the thickness of said shim so that I can try and fabricate a new one,
Many thanks
Kevin

Unless someone comes up with the thickness, you can assemble the cluster and use a feeler gauge to establish the gap and subtract a couple of thousands for heat expansion. It appears to me that the shim is acting like a washer between the bearing and retaining clip.

Thanks Yooper, good idea, not something I had thought about doing, I'll give it a try.

Thanks to all for your replies and special thanks to @Mountainman, he was able to help with the dimensions of the shim.
